FARM SCHOOL TOUR
In London Ontario – May to December 2025
Plan your farm school tour to Kustermans—just outside London, Ontario—for a fun and meaningful learning experience. Our educational farm tours are tailored for Kindergarten to Grade 5, with age-appropriate programs aligned with the Ontario curriculum. From tractor wagon rides and STEM-based scavenger hunts to animal feeding and outdoor exploration, students will learn about nature, agriculture, and sustainability in an engaging and memorable way.
School Tour Description
Our farm school tour offer a mix of interactive learning activities that connect students with nature, farming, and wildlife. With a combination of seasonal programs and year-round farm experiences, students will explore, learn, and engage in a way that makes education fun.
Dates
We accommodate 8-10 classes per day in May and June, and from Septembert to December.
Hours
Tours run from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, schedules will align with school bus times.
Curriculum
Each class tours separately with a program tailored from grade K to 5.
Free Admission for Supervisors
We offer free admissions at a ratio of 1 supervisor for every 4 students. For example, a group of 16 students would be eligible for 4 free admissions for supervisors.
School Trip Program
Join us for an engaging educational adventure where fun meets learning in the heart of the farm! Our program offers:
A Kustermans staff member will take students out into the farm on a tractor wagon ride with , where they explore topics like animals, plants, machines, and energy through fun games.
Students will answer grade questions to find chart locations around the farm. As they discover each chart, they’ll collect pieces of a scrambled word. Once all charts are found, they’ll unscramble the word
Students will have the opportunity to feed and observe farm animals, learning about their diets, care, and role in agriculture. They will explore how animals contribute to farm life through fun activities.
An exciting space to climb, slide, jump, and explore in a fun farm setting. With activities like slides, pedal go-karts, and interactive play areas, kids can enjoy while developing coordination and teamwork.
Seasonal School Tours
Each season offers new activities that match the time of year. Students will explore nature, farming, and wildlife through interactive experiences, making learning fun and engaging throughout the year.
Spring School Tours
May & June
Students will engage activities about healthy eating and wildlife survival. They will also plant a seed and learn how to care for it, with activities tailored to their age for a fun and educational experience.
Summer Day Camp
July & August
At Kustermans Summer Camp; campers aged 4-11 get to have a blast with berry picking (when in season), making crafts, singing songs, playing games, and enjoying sports.
Fall School Tours
September & October
During the fall, students will explore pumpkins and navigate corn mazes with activities tailored to their age. They will learn, engage with nature, and enjoy a fun, educational experience.
Winter School Tours
November & December
Students will learn about Christmas trees, how to care for them, and even plant their own conifer tree to take home. They will also enjoy festive activities like decorating cookies and making reindeer food.

Kindergarten
Key Learnings
- Understand the essentials for living things: water, air, and food, and their role in our environment.
- Discover how tractors and trailers assist farmers and the science behind this machinery.
- Understanding the differences between animals and seeing how they live on the farm. ( spring)
- Explore the pumpkin life cycle, its growth, and unique features. (fall)
- Learn about farmers and their contributions to our daily lives.
Grade 1
Key Learnings
- Understand how living and non-living things interact in our environment.
- Learn the basic needs of plants and animals.
- Explore materials on the farm and their origins.
- understanding why animals need food, water, air, shelter and space ( spring)
- Discover the life cycle of pumpkins, including seed collection and the role of pollinators like bees. (fall)
- Identify actions that promote a healthy environment and the importance of respecting nature and our community.
Grade 2
Key Learnings
- Understand the classification of animals and the unique characteristics of each group.
- Explore species of special concern and the factors contributing to their risk of extinction.
- Actionable steps we can take to support species at risk.
- Analyze the positive and negative impacts of local wildlife (e.g., bats, deer, birds) on farming practices.
- Learn strategies for farmers to protect their crops while ensuring the safety of local wildlife.
Grade 3
Key Learnings
- Understand the 12 stages of berry plant development, from dormant buds to ripe berries.
- Engage in a fun game to experience pollination as pollinators!
- Learn about the parts of flowers—pistil, stamen, and petals—and their reproductive roles.
- Explore the essential role of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators in our ecosystem.

If any students require additional support due to disabilities, we will gladly accommodate their needs at no extra cost. To ensure we can provide the best support, please let us know in advance how many students will need extra assistance.
Farm Tour Price
The cost is $15 + HST per student ($16.95 total). Additional parents or siblings are also charged $15 + HST each. Final billing is processed after the tour for accuracy, and payment can be made by cheque via mail.
