HOW IT WORKS

17 different types of sunflowers to explore and enjoy—including classic tall yellow blooms, multi-headed varieties, and stunning colours like pink, purple, chocolate, white, peach, and strawberry blonde. There’s even one called “Teddy Bear” that’s fluffy and fun!

Chose your Admission Pass

Your Sunflower Fields-Only Pass includes a tractor ride to the sunflower maze and field. Upgrade to an Adventure Farm Pass to enjoy full access to all attractions, activities, and play areas across the farm—sunflower maze and filed included!

Hop off & Pick

The trail will take you on a journey of discovery with facts boards and swings, photo opps and natural at its best with busy bees and butterfly visiting the patch every day. Sunflower picking is not included with your admission. Sunflower heads can be picked in bundles of 3 at a extra cost. We provide bags and fertilized water to keep them fresh for the trip home. Our staff will safely cut the flowers for you.

Count & take home the joy

The last wagon departs 30 minutes before closing. After picking, sunflower heads will be counted and charged in bundles of 3. There are no refunds for under-picking, but you're welcome to return to the field to complete your bundle.

When do sunflowers bloom in Ontario?

Sunflowers in Ontario typically start blooming in late July, reach their peak in early to mid-August, and finish by late August or early September.

What kinds of sunflowers are growing at Kustermans this year?

We’ve planted 17 different sunflower varieties this season—each with its own shape, size, and colour. From soft pastels to deep reds, and from classic single blooms to fluffy doubles, there’s so much to discover on the trail.

Is the sunflower patch included with the Adventure Farm Pass?

Yes! The Adventure Farm Pass includes full access to sunflower fields, attractions, and all play areas on the farm.

Do I need a ticket to visit the sunflower patch?

Yes. You can access the fields with either a Sunflower Fields-Only Pass or an Adventure Farm Pass.

What’s included with my Sunflower Fields-Only admission?

Admission to Sunflower Fields-Only Pass includes:

A tractor ride to the sunflower fields
Access to the sunflower trail with 17 types of sunflowers
Photo ops
Bags and fertilized water to keep your flowers fresh

You can upgrade to an Adventure Farm Pass for full access to all attractions and activities across the farm.

How do we get to the sunflowers field?

We’ll take you there on a scenic wagon ride! It’s part of the experience and fun for all ages.

Do I have to cut the flowers myself?

No. Kustermans staff will safely cut the flowers for you.

Do I have to pay for all the sunflowers I pick?

Yes. All sunflowers picked must be purchased in bundles of 3. Please pick responsibly.

What happens if I pick fewer than 3 heads?

There are no refunds for under-picking, but you’re welcome to return to the field to complete your bundle.

What happens if it rains? Is picking still open?

Yes, we’re open rain or shine. In case of thunderstorms, we’ll clear the grounds and reopen once it’s safe.

Are pets allowed on the farm or in the fields?

Pets are not allowed. Service animals are welcome with documentation from a regulated health professional.
