We hire exceptional people at Kustermans. This will be one of the more challenging yet fun jobs you'll have! We provide the community with agricultural entertainment through school and group tours, birthday parties, berry picking, sunflower fields, pumpkin patch, farm market, our large adventure farm and SO much more!

Every day is different! We believe in cross training most team members so you will have the opportunity to work in different areas. However, this is not for everyone so if you like the idea of holding the same role there are also options for that as well. As a team member you will interact directly with people who are looking for a fun filled friendly experience! It will be YOUR job to go above and beyond to make our guests day and create memories they will remember forever.

Requirements:

Applicants for all positions must be available for work from May 1st to October 31st (we understand that school runs through June and we will accommodate during the weekdays for students for the months of May and June).

We expect employees to be available for at least 20 hours a week during the summer and at least one weekend day in the fall.

Being available for the winter season is recommended but not essential. There are many available positions listed below. Please read through the qualifications and responsibilities needed for the job before applying.

Market/BBQ Customer Service

Market and BBQ cashiers are responsible for helping customers in the market and bbq area. They will need to manage transactions using the POS system as well as handle cash in busy situations. They will assist the baker in food prep and serve the guests’ meals, drinks and treats as they order them.

Qualifications & Experience

Age 15+

Trustworthy, reliable, responsible, confident, outgoing

Excellent communication skills

Works well as part of a team

Responsibilities & Expectations

Ensure all guests are served with kindness in a time efficient manner

Assist guests with their questions regarding food, gift items etc.

Have an understanding of the farm to answer the guests questions

Assist the Baker with preparing food and completing daily tasks

Keeping the workspaces and market clean and tidy

Perform other related duties as assigned

Birthday Party Host

Birthday Party Hosts will be responsible for creating a fun and memorable experience for the birthday child and their guests. They will be enthusiastic and animated with their group and must execute all tasks correctly.

Qualifications & Experience

Age 16+

Experience with children

Trustworthy, reliable, responsible, outgoing, bubbly

Has leadership experience

Enjoys being outdoors

Responsibilities & Expectations

Ensure the safety of birthday guests

Lead the guests in cake, presents and farm activities

Have an understanding of the farm to answer the guests questions during the party

Ensure that all safety rules are followed

Creating a fun environment for the birthday child and their guests

Perform other related duties as assigned

Baker

Bakers are responsible for preparing all food and beverages for the day. They will make an accurate amount of food for the day with minimal waste. They will work the POS system as well as handle cash in busy situations when the market staff needs assistance. They will lead the market team in tasks for the day and preparing all food and drinks.

Ensure all food and beverage is prepared on time and up to quality standards

Admissions Customer Service

Admission staff are responsible for greeting customers at the entrance. They will confidently inform the customer about the policies and activities we have at the farm. They will greet the customer with a smile and in a kind manner. They will work the POS system as well as handle cash in busy situations. They will accurately and efficiently assist the customers with wristbands and waivers etc..

Train Driver

Train drivers are responsible for creating a fun and memorable experience for the children while on the train ride. They will be enthusiastic and animated with the children. They will follow all of the train rules to ensure the safety of everyone.

Ensure all guests are greeted with kindness as they arrive for a train ride

Assist guests with loading on and off the train

Have an understanding of the farm to answer the guests questions if needed

Keeping the workspaces clean and tidy

Perform other related duties as assigned

Tractor Driver

Tractor drivers are responsible for creating a fun and memorable experience for the guests on the wagon ride. They will follow all of the tractor rules to ensure the safety of everyone.

Qualifications & Experience

Age 18+

Must have a valid driver's license and clean record

Must have experience with tractors/farm equipment

Trustworthy, reliable, responsible, confident, outgoing

Excellent communication skills

Works well independently

Responsibilities & Expectations

Ensure all guests are greeted with kindness as they arrive for a tractor ride

Assist guests with loading on and off the tractor

Bring customers to and from the fields in a safe and timely manner

Have an understanding of the farm to answer the guests questions if needed

Keeping the workspaces clean and tidy

Perform other related duties as assigned

Berry/Pumpkin Cash

Berry Cash staff are responsible for greeting customers as they exit the fields. They will accurately count the berries/pumpkins picked and charge the customer accordingly. They will work the POS system as well as handle cash in busy situations. They will accurately and efficiently assist the customers with baskets and wheelbarrows.

Field Showing

Field showing staff are responsible for greeting customers as they unload from the tractor. They

will lead the customer to their picking spot and explain how to pick. They have a good

understanding of the grounds and crops.
